Description
The RotoGrip™ 16C is a pneumatic collet chuck built for CNC automation. Shop air clamps and releases a standard 16C collet in about a second, so a machine, a spindle gripper, or a robot can load round parts and bar stock without an operator turning a wrench. The air housing stays put while the chuck spins, so your air lines never wind up.
Key Features
- Takes standard 16C collets for round stock up to 1.57" (40mm). Collets are sold separately.
- Air to clamp, air to release. Two ports, 60 to 100 psi shop air, controlled by M-code or a foot pedal.
- Built-in rotary air coupling. The chuck rotates up to 3,500 RPM while the air fittings stay stationary.
- Stays clamped if air is interrupted. The chuck locks mechanically, so a dropped air line does not release the part.
- Consistent part length. The collet does not pull back as it closes, so every part seats at the same depth.
- Through-bore design lets bar stock pass through the chuck for bar-fed work.
- Front mount with four M8 bolts and a 7.4" (187mm) body.

A 16C collet chuck grips round parts on their full circumference, which holds thin-wall and finished diameters without the marring you get from vise jaws or a 3-jaw chuck.
