  1. Get to the North Building

    All four McCormick Place buildings connect through the Grand Concourse. Follow the overhead signs for North Building / Hall B. North Building halls are open 10:00 am to 6:00 pm every show day.

  2. Take the escalators to Level 3 and enter Hall B

    The Hall B entrance is at the Grand Concourse end of the hall, next to the connection to the South Building. Hall B holds the Automation, Gear Generation, and Abrasive Machining sectors.

  3. Follow the Automation Sector toward the far end

    Inside Hall B, stay in the Automation Sector aisles (booths 2360xx to 2366xx) and walk about three-quarters of the way toward the far end of the hall. Rockwell Automation (236166) is in the row next to ours; MISUMI Americas (236650) and Universal Robots (236744) are a few rows past us.

What's Running on the Robodrill: The GripFlipGrip™ Workflow

Load Stock into Part Loading Tray

Remove the finished, fully machined parts from the last run, and drop in your raw stock. Since there's no clamping and all the pins instantly align your stock, this step usually takes less than 5 seconds per part.

Gripper Loads the Part and AutoVise™ Clamps It

Fully automatically using our automated program templates, the gripper grabs the component from the stock tray and loads it into the Op1 AutoVise™ where it's clamped and machined.

Gripper Grabs, QuickFlip™ Flips, and Gripper Regrabs

The integrated QuickFlip180 leverages that remaining top hat on the stock. Automatically flips it over and then regrabs the component, getting it ready for automated Op2 machining.

Flipped Part Loaded for Op2 and Machined

After the part is flipped, the flipped component is automatically loaded into the OP2 vise soft jaw and then automatically machined, leaving a 100% complete, ready-to-use part.

Automated Repeating Part Production

This process automatically completes until you have an entire tray or magazine full of finished, ready-to-use components. This is the exact cycle running on the Fanuc Robodrill at Booth #236253.

In-machine automation uses the robot you already own: your CNC machine. A spindle gripper in the ATC handles the part, so there's no external robot, no safety fencing, and no added floor space.

Our systems are typically 8 to 14% of the cost of a robot or cobot cell, which is why customers see ROI in weeks instead of years. Programming is handled with our templates and GimCode™, so you don't need a full-time applications engineer to run it.
